TODAY is the second of four consecutive days of action in the FLOW Premier Volleyball League at Mayaro Indoor Sports Complex. There are only women’s matches in the $250,000 tournament during the Easter weekend, and after were featured yesterday, two more will take place today.
Defending champs Glamorgan will tackle Big SEPoS (South East Port of Spain) at ten a.m. and then Southern United Volleyball Academy (SUVA) will oppose West Side Stars. Unbeaten leaders Technocrats will go for their fourth victory when they oppose Big SEPoS in tomorrow’s first match at 10 am.
Glamorgan and West Side Stars will take the floor two hours later, and then SUVA will face Trinidad & Tobago Development Academy in the final match at 2 p.m. The three matches are scheduled for the same times on Monday.
Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) and Technocrats get things going, and action will conclude with Stars coming up against SEPoS.
The middle match will be between Glamorgan and SUVA, who have both won two of three and are in joint second place. The other four teams — Big SEPoS, Stars, UTT, Development Academy — have one victory each.
After the seven women teams battle each other twice and the nine men’s outfits face each other once in the round-robin phase, the top six will advance to the knockout stage of the richest volleyball league in the English-speaking Caribbean.
