Toronto FC took Major League Soccer (MLS) by surprise on Tuesday, when selecting Tyrese Spicer at No. 1 overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
The Trinidad and Tobago native and former Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) standout, registered 29 goals and 18 assists through four seasons and 57 overall appearances for Lipscomb University. It’s the first time that a Trinidadian has been the number one draft pick for Major League Soccer.
