First Citizens is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) through its contribution to the TTOC’s Gold Foundation Fund, which provides

financial support to the athletes on their journey to representing Trinidad and Tobago on the sports world stage. Since 2019, this collaboration has exemplified the Group’s commitment to sport, which echoes the International Olympic Committee’s vision of "Building a Better World through Sport".

Mrs. Neela Kissoon, Group Deputy CEO – Operations and Administration (Designate), First Citizens, countersigned the agreement with Ms. Diane Henderson, President – TTOC at the First Citizens Headquarters on Friday, December 15 2023. The ceremonial handover signaled another year of partnership ahead of the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics scheduled to take place in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11 2024.

Mrs. Kissoon said, “We are pleased to support our athletes and their personal development in pursuit of their sporting goals” while President Henderson stated, "We're extremely grateful for the continued support from First Citizens over the past 5 years which has aided some of our athletes with medaling at international events”.

Looking ahead to the 2023-2024 partnership, First Citizens envisions impactful outcomes as it aims to fortify the connections with the community through sports development, empowering individuals and fostering a culture of excellence. The Group is excited for another successful partnership with the TTOC for the continued growth and success of sports in the region.
