Dear Colleagues in the Olympic Family,
Dear Colleagues in the International Sporting World;
It is with a great sense of accomplishment, gratitude and solidarity that I announce the completion of my time as head of the Olympic Movement and the Commonwealth Games Association in The Bahamas.
In bidding you ‘so long’, I ask that you extend the same warm comradeship, support and unity of purpose that you have shown me to our Bahamian sporting family, which is now under my successor, President Romell Knowles. As many of you would know, Mr. Knowles has stood shoulder to shoulder with me during the years as our then Secretary General and I support him and our team without reservation. I have every confidence that you will all do the same.
Going forward, I will remain available as a resource for The Bahamas Olympic Committee, CANOC, ANOC, The Pan American Sports Organization and CASCO to help in any way that I can.
Finally, I wish to thank you all for sharing in what has been one of the most joyous experiences of my lifetime, as we worked together in the service of regional and international sports as a great force for good in the world.
Sincerely,
Wilton ‘Wellington’ Miller
Past President
Bahamas Olympic Committee
