Future is female is predicated on a belief that more has to be done to increase and retain female participation in all aspects of Trinidad and Tobago sport.
During the 2016 Olympic cycle a deliberate effort was made to facilitate greater female participation in all aspects of the TTOC operations.
Encouraging greater female participation will continue to be an area of focus.
An essential objective of 10 golds24 is breaking the glass ceiling of a Team TTO female Olympic medalist.
In respect of sport Governance by 2024 40% of the Executive Committee/board of national Governing bodies should be female.
The other initiative is #NextChampion a talent identification program that will focus on, in particular , at risk communities as part of a specific geographic community oriented outreach.
In respect of Next Champion a pilot is currently underway with Chaguanas North Secondary, Chaguanas South Secondary and Montrose Primary school facilitated by NAAA member club Chaguanas based Speed Factory.
